Motorola’s Mag One BPR 50dX are new VHF and UHF business radio models with a number of improvements as compared to the popular BPR40d. The radio now has 64 channels with dual-capacity direct digital mode, and a louder 3 watt speaker.
The BPR 50dX has a higher capacity battery, IP55 rugged rating, and a 2 year warranty. It also has a USB-C charging port in addition to the included desktop charger.
The radio can be programmed with analog and digital DMR channels for interoperability with older radio models. The radio also supports custom channel announcements, dual priority scan, and VOX. The included features are impressive for an entry level radio.
New Features for Improved Safety
The new models have additional features for worker safety. The BPR 50dX has a dedicated emergency button normally found on high tier radios. Emergency alerts can be programmed using a button press and lone worker sets a timer that places an emergency call when no activity is detected for a specified period of time,
Remote monitor allows a manager's radio to listen even if the user can’t key up and radio disable/enable is also available. Added noise cancellation clears up transmissions in noisy environments.
