The 250-TT is designed to update on a daily basis (if not connected to power) or on a 10 minute continuous-tracking plan (if connected to power).
When the unit is connected to power it will send an Auto Locate every 24 hours. If the unit is not connected to power it will operate from the internal battery and give an Auto Locate every 8 hours. The device will automatically generate Unauthorized Movement Alerts once it has traveled 3 miles or more. It will continue to provide an alert every 30 minutes until stationary.
The 250-TT can be installed on any asset that contains a 12 or 24 volt power source. Like all of our other products, it can be a part of a universal solution, mixed with our other asset tracking and/or continuous-tracking devices all residing on a single web-based mapping application.
If the trailer tracker is disconnected from power it will generate a disconnect alert. When it is reconnected to power a power reconnect alert will be generated. When the unit is not connected to power (operating under back-up battery power) the unit will not sense the ignition or input. The low battery message will trigger at 11.0v (or 21.0v)
The internal battery of the asset tracker will generally provide service for approximately 4 hours of continuous movement or approximately 60 days if the unit is stationary.
When the tracker is in sleep mode, the tracker will have reported the last known location to the mapping interface. The tracker will wake up when it senses motion or the ignition or input is triggered, at which time a request for location position can be acknowledged by the tracker. When in sleep mode the tracker will not acknowledge a location request.
