What is Remote Tech Support?
Remote Tech Support allows a technician to access your computer screen over the internet to troubleshoot issues you may be experiencing without having to be sitting in front of your computer. Magnum Electronics uses TeamViewer to quickly and securely troubleshoot computer related problems remotely. You simply need to download a Remote Tech Support tool and then run it. Once the program starts up, it will send a "Trouble Ticket" to our technicians with your name and a brief explanation of the problem. When a technician is available to troubleshoot the problem the program will prompt you with a message asking for permission to take control of your computer. Once you click "Allow" the technician will be able to see your computer screen just like he was sitting in front of the monitor. He will be able to quickly assess the problem and more often than not resolve the issue. Once the issue has been resolved (or it has been determined that an on-site visit will need to be scheduled to further investigate the issue) you just close the Remote Tech Support Tool and you're done. Nothing is installed on your computer to allow this connection, so there's no need to uninstall the program after the session ends. If you need further assistance in the future you can just download the Remote Tech Support Tool again and repeat the process.
